There's no car, for me, that strikes the balance of performance, quality, comfort, compactness, practicality, moddability, PDK-like DSG (not exactly, but you get my drift), and tastefullness as well as the Golf R. The new magna diff 100% sealed the deal, as the haldex always held the R off from being what it could be

Liquimoly is only oil you should be running in your turbo vw
My Winter set up includes Y rated tires, however they are not a Winter tire per Se. They are all season/ all-weather tires with the 3MPSF severe winter rating.
You'll find most common needs (brake pads, etc) in stock everywhere, and rarer parts will be easy to find in a day or two.
When I had my Mk7 R, I put on Westlake winter tires and they were dirt cheap yet surprisingly very good.
I had my 2012 vw gli at 50k miles to 220k miles. Beat the crap out of it. Change oil often also check it. Intake manifolds suck 3rd time with me blasting it. Spark plugs and coils packs suck get better ones.
Living in Wisconsin, I will be swapping out the OEM summer tyres with Pirelli Sottozero 3 winters. WINTER SOTTOZERO™ 3 235/35R19 91V XL AUDI - Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 tires are designed for maximum safety in all weather conditions.
I recently did the Hawk 5.0 pads and they are lacking on initial bite. Bit disappointing. Much better for repeated breaking tho, as they warm up.
I have had ongoing issues I have continuously had with my TCROSS, I have had to bring the vehicle in several times over the past 6 moths with the same issues. Loud clucking noise also left hand front of car My mechanic has stated that there is an issue with the front suspension/strut mount - VW not taking it serious at all.
I had blizzaks for a few seasons after a set of very good dunlops. I was severely dissatisfied in the e blizzak performance. Not only did they wear quickly but they were awful in the snow and dry. We have X-ices on the Tiguan and they are far superior to the blizzaks.
