2022 Luxury edition Plugin hybrid. 100k kms no issues at all. Only the regular maintenance. Changed the windshield a couple of times due to small rocks thrown by the other cars.

I used 7-Star Glass in Richmond BC who did my windshield last year. This found a tiny chip on that and fixed that too.
We love our 24 badlands in eruption green with a black top. It’s been awesome. We got 36,100km on it now. Have had to get an alignment, 1 new windshield, and a new grill because the clip that holds the front camera had broken and a piece fell out. But it’s still awesome.
Have a prestige trim 9.5 S5 and wear polarized sunglasses 99.9% of the time I get in the car and they\u2019ve never caused any issues with legibility for the HUD.
I will say my chilliest experience last January in the mountains of CO at night tested the defrosting ability of the windshield. I wish it had some extra heater wires because we had to rely on the heated air which made for a very toasty experience inside the car.
Good luck in this, had a 2018 Accord and had a "cheaper" windshield installed and it never calibrated/worked correctly. went and got the factory 3x the price and calibrated and all is good.
I've had a nasty stone chip that cracked in my windshield and it had to be replaced. My insurance covered the replacement, and I could choose a Tesla certified repair shop near me. The repair shop I chose ordered a new windshield from Tesla itself, on VIN number.
After receiving the car back, everything worked as it should. Until the temperature dropped below 5 degrees C outside. The front camera would fill with condensation. Autopilot/automatic windshield wipers and the safety systems stopped working because of this. This happens no matter if I pre heat the car or not, it happens after driving 10 minutes and remains for the rest of the journey.
I went back to the shop, they replaced the module that powers the window heating in front of the camera. This did not fix the issue.
Upon closer inspection, I found out that the windshield that was placed had different heating wire patten, just 4 vertical ones with 3 or 4 cm unheated glass in between, instead of the 9 horizontal ones like it used to have. After some more digging, I found out that the placed windshield is a highland unit, with the 'notch' for HW4. Mine is an 01-2019 with HW2.5.
I can see that the heating is working. With snow on the car, it nicely melted all the snow around the camera with sentry mode on. When it fogs up, there is no condensation close to the heating wires. It just seems like the distance between the wires is too big on the new windshield.
This is the only windshield that can be supplied for this car by Tesla, the damage repair shop checked.
I did and had issues with Pilot Assist and Lane Keeping. I had to get the ADAS systems recalibrated.
I have a similar crack, xc40 recharge. It’s got a bit bigger now and no unfortunately not covered by warranty unless one has purchased the windscreen warranty for $2000 on top of extended warranty and some other warranty, tires perhaps or wheels can’t remember but I declined.
my 24 v60 windshield cracked twice in a span of first 11 months and 11k mile of ownership. My previous car, I had one chip in 11 years and 132k miles. I wonder if Volvo windshield is weak or I have bad luck.
