OEM Volkswagen Horn
UnionTed
  • Loudness:
  • Tone:
Rating 4.0

the hot ticket was to replace the stock horn with a VW bug horn. They're only a little larger, require no other modifications, and are noticeably louder and "brighter."

Pros: louder, brighter, no modifications
Cons: a little larger

LIQUI MOLY Engine oil

I had been using LM in our Euro vehicles for years until prices started to climb. I switched to the appropriate Mobil 1 oil earlier this year. There is not enough difference in test results to make me stay with LM once the price difference became as big as it was during my last TDI oil change.

Pros: appropriate oil, years of use
Cons: price started to climb

OEM Volkswagen Automatic transmission

1969 Volkswagen Beetle. Three speed automatic stick shift. When you moved the floor mounted stick it magically released the clutch (electrically?) . You shifted and released the shifter. Take an underpowered car and take a gear away. It was a dog.

Cons: poor performance, underpowered
Vehicle: Volkswagen Beetle
