I also used a kit from FCP Euro about 8 years ago and it included a HEPU water pump that worked fine for 7 years until I dismantled that car.

I have used a Meyle HD front end kit on one of my Phaetons and it seemed like good quality control arms.

According to the newsletter today, Rock Auto has added Zimmerman to their catalog. They have some for Phaetons if yours has the smaller front rotors.

Finally got the LH Battery put in today.... Had been putting it off for a few months. It went a lot better than I thought it would, all things considered.

Just so happens my clearance thermostat is a Motorad which has the VW/Audi p/n cast on the housing!

I had a Saleri pump. I changed it at 100,000 in 2013 and bearing was good at around 145,000 in 2021. I inspected it with a camera. It appeared to be leaking at the gasket.

I like them overall and they mostly fit. Technically, the passenger mats could go in the so not fitting thread. I wish Weathertech made laser fitted mats for Phaetons but these are the next best so far.

The Saleri started leaking at the shaft so it wasn't an issue with the gasket. The Saleri had a plastic impeller while the OE had a metal impeller.

Original was stuck open, replaced with new VW which now appears to be stuck closed. ????. Fortunately I have recently acquired a new OE thermostat on clearance for jollies.
