OEM Hyundai Brake pads

I have a 21' Hyundai Accent which was basically the sedan version of the Venue before the Accent got axed. I live in the NE so I've encountered plenty of road salt as well as coastal salt/driving through minor coastal flooding. My car has basically zero rust underneath. I wash it immediately (within 24 hours) of driving through coastal flooding or winter treated roads, or as soon as temps go above freezing. Shit, I've got 80k on this car on the original brake pads and there's NO rust on the rotors or calipers, which to me is an unexpected surprise for someone who drives in corrosive conditions.

Pros: no rust, original pads
Vehicle: Hyundai Accent
Mileage: 80000 km

Kumho Tires

Stock Kumho tires on my 2024 model, usually stay on ECO mode but I do use smart mode sometimes. Currently at almost 23k miles the odometer stays at 44mpg average, I calculated based on fills about 43.2 mpg which is pretty close.

Pros: good average mpg
Mileage: 36800 km

OEM Hyundai Brake pads

On the other hand, all I did to it was change oil, brake pads, tires and spark plugs. Ran all the time, snow, sun, rain. Drove it everywhere. Put loads of miles on it.

Pros: ran all the time
Vehicle: Hyundai Accent

Kumho Tires

I put a set of Kumho all weather with three peaks on my wife’s Elantra. Honestly they’re great. Are they as good as dedicated winters? No, obviously not but they’re damn good and capable.

Pros: great, damn good, capable
Cons: not as good as winters

OEM Hyundai Tires

2024 Tucson hybrid blue Tires are absolutely dreadful. I went to get new ones on Monday. When they saw the stock tires (24,000 miles) they told me they had barely any tread left. They told me they've been seeing more and more cars with stock tires that just don't last much anymore.

Cons: dreadful tires, low tread
Mileage: 38624 km

OEM Hyundai Fuel injector
Thejerkyboyz
  • Idle:
  • Acceleration:
Rating 2.0

I owned a 2012 Tucson from 2012 to 2022 and now I have a 2022 Tucson Limited with just under 36k miles on it. 2.5 liter 4 cylinder. No issues until 11 days ago. The check engine light came on. It didn't really want to accelerate. It felt jerky and like it might die at any moment. I found out yesterday that it IS a bad fuel injector and WILL be covered under warranty.

Cons: bad fuel injector
Vehicle: Hyundai Tucson
Mileage: 57936 km
