We run Bridgestone Blizzak and they are amazing, the car is a beast in the snow with them on.
Blizzak is the king for studless snow traction, I think Michelin X-Ice is a little better on ice, Continental VikingContact is another great option for a little less $$$. I'm currently on Vredestein Wintrac+ (something like that) and they're fine.
I\u2019ve had the Bridgestone S23 and they lastet 3k miles. Best 3k miles I\u2019ve ridden but def not the best mileage.
Tires are the most important thing. The Bridgestone Ecopias that came on my Overland were useless in snow. I was slipping and sliding in 2”.
After switching to Bridgestone Weatherpeak All-Weather tires i get 8.1 as the lowest. 29-30MPG.
Pirelli Rosso IV's or Bridgestone S23 are probably the best 2 sport focused tires on the market right now that arent sports touring like the Mich Road 6's. I have S23's on my MT09 (came stock, and have since been replaced with a new set)
We had a really bad storm and the Bridgestone did fine on unplowed roads.
We have a '25 Sport and run Blizzaks on it and its been great the last two winters.
I have used the Bridgestone Turanza Allseason 6 on a Mazda CX5 2.5 AWD for 2 years and 20.000 km. They are excellent during summer heat and torrential rain on highways and I have yet to fond any issue with them on ice and snow, although the latter was limited. They are still at 7 mm tread.
I recently put the Bridgestones on my Mazda6 and they feel great in cold and wet weather, quite good in snow for all seasons too, but I haven’t had a chance to try them in proper European summer heat. My previous car had cc2 that were excellent in the snow, average on wet, and quite bad for my liking on summer drives. They just felt soft and flexi above 30c.
