Goodyear f1 eagle asymmetric 6 but slightly wider at 215/45/17. Transformed the car with much sharper turn in and the rear no longer wants to go sideways in the wet when I put the power on. Also much less road noise and seems to ride more smoothly. This is over the stock bridgestone.
I swapped my Goodyears for 50mm gravel king x1+. I love them and they have been really versatile.
I've stuck with my BF Goodrich Comp A/S 2+. They stick like glue in all weather and dont make any road noise.
The iX does really well in the snow. No skidding at all on the Goodyear All-Seasons. I do feel vibration when going over 50 mph on the highway, and a google search said that it’s because of snow stuck in the wheels. I definitely have snow in there so hopefully it will improve once it melts.
If your ok with the higher noise and stiffer ride, LT rated goodyear workhorse HT, or the workhorse AT-LT if you are regularly in dirt/mud.
I went with the weatherready2 and they've handled brilliantly in northeast snowstorms. I'm talking blasting through the worst of Buffalo and Erie snowstorms this year with complete confidence while in slippery mode. If I get decent overall miles out of them, I'll get them again. I have had zero "I should've got snow tires" regrets.
Greedy NASCAR wants a 10 month season, they should ask Goodyear for a deal on snow tires.
I say get Goodyear to take the wet tire and give it deeper softer tread, make it a snow tire.
The Flex ate through tires, though. The OEM Goodyears were garbage, as usual.
I absolutely hate using the KO2's. They're a long lasting tire with a high load rating, but that's because the rubber compound is hard as steel. They're outright dangerous in wet and icy conditions.
