Mitsuboshi Strut assembly

But it reached perfection once I replaced tyres, shocks, struts (so just the gas part) and did a wheel alignment.

Pros: smooth at high speed
Vehicle: Mitsubishi Outlander
Mileage: 147000 km

Bilstein Strut assembly

I only replace shocks and struts with Billstein. You pay for what you get these days and I’ve replaced OE struts only to find out the leaking OE struts performed better than Monroe or KYB’s.

Pros: pay for what you get
Cons: OE struts performed better

Bilstein Strut assembly

Tuned by STI. Often shortened to TBSTI. Was never available in North America. You get some exterior bits including wheels, Brembo brakes, STI 6 speed, Bilstein struts & other suspension improvements, some interior bits (namely seats), strut tower brace, different mufflers, and of course the ECU tune.

Pros: suspension improvements, ECU tune

Bilstein Strut assembly

I've been on B4s for two years on my 2nd gen. Granted they're on springs that sit almost an inch lower than OE height, but performance is solid and consistent all the same. Id imagine they're even more plush at OE height versus that small amount of preload from sitting slightly lower. Worth the money.

Pros: solid and consistent performance
Vehicle: Honda Fit

OEM Subaru Strut assembly

Ran original stock struts on my 2012 Outback until this year and 145k miles. And they honestly weren\u2019t even terrible yet, just starting to notice ride quality start to suffer.

Pros: long lasting, decent quality
Cons: ride quality suffered
Mileage: 233354 km

I started hearing and feeling a clunk over specific bumps, and eventually both front struts had to be replaced under warranty.

Dobinsons Strut assembly

I bought these new in the box got them installed today and both struts immediately have problems. I replaced my old N3 struts that made the truck ride terrible and with all 3 dials set to the softest setting it rode about the same if not worse than the N3s.

Cons: immediate problems, rode terrible
