Zimmermann Brake discs

I'm going to need front brakes soon. Last time I got brakes I ordered one of their Zimmerman/Akebono kits that covered all four corners, rotors and pads. I only need front pads and rotors, so I was going to order the same kit, just for the front, and then send in my old pads and rotors off the front.

Pros: great deal

OEM Subaru Brake discs

I put larger diameter front rotors, dual piston calipers, caliper bracket, better pads and the properly re-sized master cylinder on an Impreza and had much better dry stopping with no ABS problems.

Pros: better dry stopping

I'm using StopTech's 1-piece drilled and cryo-treated rotors and EBC Redstuff pads and have been extremely impressed with their performance on the street.Very good braking and fairly low dust and/or noise.

Pros: very good braking, low dust
Cons: some trimming needed

Rating 3.0

Eventually it was deemed that the brake discs had become faulty, giving a vibration on braking and there was high speed vibration caused by unbalanced tyres. Front discs replaced, braking vibration gone.

Pros: braking vibration gone
Cons: brake discs faulty

WBR Brake discs

They are awful! I sold about 10 sets, warrantied all 10 by about 18 months in. Every single one due to vibration issues. Tried them on my own car, lasted just over a month. Do not buy them.

Pros: null
Cons: vibration issues, awful
