Brembo rotors and Akebono pads for daily. stops better and much less dust than factory.
Owner reviews for brake discs
I have Hawk Talon Rotors with Hawk HPS 5.0 pads. Awesome setup. But, if your looking for less dust, look at a different pad.
I used powerstop heavy duty slotted rotors. They were great, not a single shimmy after 50k on them. Pads I usually go for a high quality Akebono ceramic.
Got around to install my Power Stop rotors and pads today. Break fade has improved tenfold over the stock brakes.
Always had good luck with brembo stuff myself on Hondas.
I had shake and brake at 30k. warped rotors, replaced the rotors and pad, all good again
Another user exposed my disc to road salt, cold padel feel, longevity are all came back very positive, and his SUV has accumulated almost 113,000 miles without a single issue.
APR Direct Replacement Brake Discs are a plug-and-play upgrade for your factory brakes. They provide reduced brake fade, improved brake consistency, and excellent modulation, especially during repeated consecutive braking applications or spirited driving. The rotors have improved resistance to distortion, warping, and cracking at high temperatures. They pair perfectly with the APR Direct Replacement Advanced Street Pads, and provide a no-compromise solution for spirited daily driving.
Update for all those following along. My brakes were the best they've ever been today - on a very, very hot day (feels-like temp over 100). I had a vibration with light brake pressure, but pressed on giving more pressure and found that as the brakes got more heat in them, and I went deeper into the braking zone, the vibration disappeared. All was well, but after checking the rotors, they appear to have developed cracks.
I did the fronts with \"Duralast.\" They produced a HORRIBLE shudder when braking. I replaced them with the same this and the issue was the same. So, I bought OEM pads/rotors and the issued COMPLETELY went away.
