Raybestos Brake discs

I really like the Raybestos Element3, Coated rotors. I have them on my GTI in NW Ohio and they resist rust better than anything else I have tried.

Pros: rust resistant, good quality

+1 for Zimmerman rotors. They are great and resist against rust better than the oem discs. I’m currently on HPS5.0 and Zimmerman at front. Braking power is great. No dust almost.

Pros: great braking power, resist rust
Cons: some squealing noise

Zimmermann Brake discs

I just installed Zimmerman rotors with the stoptech pads upfront and ate ceramic pads for the rear. Performance has been excellent for a street driven car. Noticeably better than the stock pads.

Pros: excellent performance, better than stock

I used Tire Rack for Stoptech rotors. Not sure if it’s really a bonus but I sprung for the cryo-sportstop. They look great and are smooth. I wouldn’t look at Stillen rotors. They were unbalanced garbage.

Pros: look great, smooth performance
Cons: unbalanced garbage

EBC Brake discs

I bought EBC slotted rotors and Akebono euro ceramic pads from FCPEuro. They have a lifetime warranty and are hands down the best brakes I have ever had on all of my cars

Pros: best brakes ever

Centric Brake discs

I have the same pad compound but I end up just buying some cheap Centric blanks. The rotors end up taking in so much heat that they'll end up with a crack here and there. I just end up tossing the rotors and pads, they're relatively cheap so it doesn't bother me much.

Pros: relatively cheap
Cons: prone to cracking, take in heat
Vehicle: Ford Focus
