I am getting great results with the Ravenol VMO 5w40 in my 08 2.0 TSI, almost no burn off in 5K change and area below oil fill in valve cover is spotless. Used to have a dark color oil film at change interval but after 4 changes with the Ravenol it is clean oil film now at change.

much to my surprise, the motor has not burned a drop of oil in the first 50,000 miles (I change the oil every 5000 miles).
My car uses about 0.5 qts of oil every 5000 miles. I think castrol 5W 40 is the best oil for this car.
get a set of mahle 4032 alloy pistons unless you're going for very high power levels. you'll barely hear bad things from 2618 alloy piston owners, but 2618's have been known to piston-slap on cold starts, depending on the tolerances of the build.
This is my first set of dsw and I like them. I had them when I lived in NJ and they were good. I recommend
I am on my 3rd set of Conti DWS tires. I got 60K out of the first two sets.
I'm on my second set of Conti DWS. I love them for the snow and are nice the rest of the yesr too.
I did notice the German Castrol had a smoothing effect on the big 5-cyl.
I used mobile one 0w40 but burned oil so I filled it up again idk might be cause of the heat or of course the motor which would be normal, but I usually aim at chaning the oil every 8k or half miles on my 2.0t TFSI engine and now I'm using 5w40 motul for my up coming oil change
i know that look! i actually bought a fram filter when i turbo'd my car, it was a new design from their original design. they used to be exact copies of the vw/hengst and mann. design. it had Plastic "caps" and was essentially fused to the filter media. the new ones however are a strange material that is sewn onto the media with a gauze like inner circle. so i used it and after running the turbo for a few weeks i did a maintence change and noticed the filter was totally collapsed upon itself.
