OEM FORD Fuel filter
HatechaBro
  • Starting:
Rating 4.0

I used to make it and run it in my 7.3l powerstroke trucks for almost 10 years. I changed the fuel filter in my 7.3 trucks every second oil change, so every 10,000 kilometres. Little puff of smoke on startup, slight haze when stomping on it, otherwise not noticeable compared to regular diesel.

Pros: not noticeable compared diesel
Cons: puff of smoke on startup
Vehicle: Ford
Mileage: 10000 km

TYC Headlights
Wapentake6
  • Brightness:
  • Aim:
  • Condensation:
Rating 4.0

I replaced my worn out cloudy/mildewed headlight bodies on my 2006 CVPI with these TYC replacement OEM-look headlights from Rock Auto. So far, they've worked really well for the 4 months I've had them installed. No leaks/condensation or short circuits/failures. They were really useful on long drives (4-6 hours) at night or early morning where there aren't any streetlights for long stretches on the highway. The only complaint I have is the "high beams" just seem like a change in point of aim (higher), rather than increased illumination.

Pros: worked really well, no leaks, no failures, useful on long drives
Cons: high beams point of aim
Vehicle: Ford Crown Victoria

Duralast Brake pads

I'm only now replacing the pads & rotors *for the first time* during my ownership. The rotors won't pass inspection, but I'm shocked to find that the pads still have 7/32"-8/32" left. As it turns out, I've been running Duralast Gold rotors & Duralast Elite pads the entire time.

That's a phenomenal track record for the amount of "spirited" road I put past this car.

Pros: long lasting, phenomenal track record
Cons: rotors won't pass inspection
Vehicle: Ford Taurus
Mileage: 130000 km

GTR Headlights

If the GTR CSP Minis will fit, you can't go wrong with them. I have them in my '15 F-150 for the last couple years, they're flawless.

Pros: flawless performance

BRIDGESTONE Tires

Canadian here, winter tires are good enough for most driving on ice and snow. I've got a set of Bridgestone Blizzak winter tires on my Ford Edge FWD and it goes through all conditions just fine.

Pros: good on ice, good on snow
Vehicle: Ford Edge

MICHELIN Tires

Now have a 2014 mustang gt with michelin as3+ and they were decent ..even though they were worn down ..got as4 when they came out around I think June 2020? Felt good on the rears . But I guess like all tires take a bit warming up when cold . Felt some slipping only 4k miles in...but I am a lead foot ..understatement as well.

Pros: felt good on rears
Cons: felt some slipping
Mileage: 4000 km

Duralast Starter motor
RadientNak
  • Cranking:
Rating 1.0

I just had a similar issue with my 2015. I changed the starter with a duralast part from autozone, still didn't work. Ended up biting the bullet and taking the car to Ford. They explained to me that a genuine ford part was needed as the starter is part of the security system.

Cons: didn't work, ford part needed
Vehicle: Ford Focus
