PIAA Wiper blades
aced124C
 • Wipe quality:
Rating 5.0

Theres a couple of brands but I have literally had my PIAA wiper blades outlast my last car. Actual 100% silicone wipers are designed to last 8 -10 YEARS and all you need to do is wipe them with paper towel soaked in a little alcohol or any other safe cleaning solvent once a year or so to maintain.

Pros: long lasting, easy maintenance
Vehicle: Chevrolet Equinox

Falken Tires

WRX just changed out it’s stock Dunlop to Falken Aklimate at 68k miles and haven’t even changed it into its Blizzaks for winter. It held up beautifully even when we had ice shut down I-80 and a good portion of Nebraska. Liked the Aklimate so much I got our Chevy HHR a set along with new rims. Daughter had absolutely no issues on ice with them.

Pros: held up beautifully
Cons: null
Vehicle: Chevrolet HHR
Mileage: 109437 km

OEM Chevrolet Windshield

I just had my windshield on my 2024 z06 replaced and it was only $1300 with calibration with an OEM windshield, this seems pretty high to me since there’s always a “Corvette tax” no matter what the part is.

Pros: OEM windshield
Cons: Corvette tax
Vehicle: Chevrolet Corvette

MICHELIN Tires

Unless something new dropped recently the Michelin IceX still dominates when it comes to rolling resistance for a snow tire. Comparing them to the stock energy savers in the same weather conditions, I could perceive no decrease in efficiency.

Pros: no decrease in efficiency

OEM Chevrolet Leaf springs
tand86
 • Creaks:
Rating 4.0

I prefer it over the 6.2 for sure. It does not sound as good, but it’s not a race car. My 24’ zr2 has plenty of power for a truck. 7k miles only issue so far was with the rear leaf springs.

Pros: plenty of power
Cons: issue with leaf springs
Vehicle: Chevrolet
Mileage: 11265 km

AC DELCO Engine oil

ACDelco DexosD. 0w20 is practically water, but GM says to use it in the 3.0L Duramax and until the warranty is up, there's no reason to change varieties.

Pros: GM says to use it
Cons: practically water
Vehicle: Chevrolet
