I got the Michelin CC2s, I can testify they are amazing tires and perform VERY well in winter driving.
Chevrolet parts reviews
I just installed the Michelin cross climate 2, and it may be the best tire I’ve ever owned, for any car. Even my wife noticed a huge difference.
For a Volt on hilly snowy roads, the best “cheap but actually works” winter tire I’ve used is the General Altimax Arctic 12. It’s one of the few budget winter tires that still digs in on steep climbs and icy starts, and it wears slower than most entry-level options.
I just put Michelin Crossclimate2s on mine and they're doing great.
As someone from the Uppermidwest with lots of snow, I cannot suggest the Michelin Cross climate hard enough. they're excellent tires that feel well grounded. and they always felt glued to the road in the winter.
I only use Mobil1 High mileage. Everytime I drop the oil at 100%, it feels less oily? Kinda less slippery? Definitely darker than I would like. My feeling is change it a little early.
I'm running the F1 Supercar 3 (not the R). If you're like me and just trying to have a little fun going around the turns, unconcerned about being passed by Miatas, go with the 3's.
Chevrolet. One of the issues the car had was when it would rain. The brakes wouldn't always work.
4T60E gearboxes weren't great for reliability behind a V8.
Chevy Bolt. Then it was recalled for the battery fire issue.
