OEM Subaru Brake discs

70k miles for my first set of my brand new 2020. and then I replaced them myself and noticed the rotors looked nearly perfect condition and it was just the pads that were worn, I was impressed, because I do a lot of mountain driving.

Pros: perfect condition, impressed
Vehicle: Subaru
Mileage: 112654 km

ATE Brake discs

ATE disks I get come like this. The nice thing is the bits the pads don't ride on stay rust free for quite a long time due to the coating.

Pros: rust free non-friction areas

Another thumbs up here for Bosch Quiet Cast rotors & pads...they last longer in Buffalo's rust-belt conditions than any other brands I've tried, and they're quiet & they work great.

Pros: last longer, quiet, work great

R1 Concepts Brake discs

Rating 3.0

Installed new r1 concepts drilled and slotted rotors. After break-in, I noticed a clicking sound from both front rotors, resembling a wheel of fortune. The sound happens when a pad is in. The r1 concepts rotors are dimple instead of drilled all the way through, unlike my previous Power Stop rotors. Brakes feel great otherwise, but this pesky clicking noise when I have windows down will drive me nuts. I may go back to Power Stop.

Pros: good braking feel
Cons: clicking noise from rotors
