As stated, Zimmerman's are a great rotor. They're a popular application on Porsche.
Owner reviews for brake discs
Zimmerman's are good rotors. Had them for ~45K on the front of a B5.5.
I have Zimmerman's installed in the rear. They are the coat z rotors that insure the hubs don't rust. They are very good in combination with Akebono pads.
End result: Threw in the towel, went with OEM-sized slotted StopTech rotors, and I'm done.
I have StopTech drilled/slotted. Ive ran mine for about a year now, purchased through Rock Auto. Very happy so far with the quality and performance. Take a while to warm up but then they hook just fine & work great with my Hawk Ceramic pads for minimal brake dust. They have held up just as expected, no signs of rust ect. I do not daily the R, so these do not get daily abuse.
Best bang for buck brake setup on a Corrado/Mk3 Front: 11.3 DE's with Tyrol Sport Bushings and a proper pad and brembo OE rotors Rear: Stock rear, Mk4 Calipers, proper pads, and brembo OE rotors. Rotor material is too often overlooked and a must for proper performance. Brembo seems to have the best metallurgy IMO.
Stop Tech drilled /slotted front rotors , Power Stop evolution carbon fiber/ceramic brake pads ..Raybestos solid rear rotors with Stop Tech ceramic pads (painted calipers n rotor hubs blue)
I did buy replacement rotors (Brembo) and pads (Bosch quietcast) from FCP and I have no complaints.
It was brought in by another shop that installed rear brake pads and rotors.
front brakes already instaled also i changed brakes fluid for little better one ATE Blue Racing and now it stops better after a while i figure out there is some problems with brakes... i tried to find what is wrong... finally i got it!! brakes callipers was broken... pistons where jammed in callipers... i send it back.. i got cashback and i order another set from diffrent seler unfortunatelly i need to buy another set of brake discs... drilled zimermann set.
