I upgraded slightly by going with GLI brakes front and rear. Did basic Meyle rotors with Akebono ceramic pads. Couldn't be happier.

Have them on my Tiguan with Zimmerman rotors, not a peep so far, excellent grip too.
I went with Zimmerman Rotors and EBC Red Stuff pads from NGP. Not slotted or drilled, just a quality German made rotor. The material quality difference is evident. My only complaint is the Red Stuff pads do make more brake dust, but its a pretty minor grievance. The rotors were also coated to prevent unsightly rusting.
Just an FYI. I just did the brakes and rotors on my LS430. Brake pads are the easiest job ever did. it's just a pin and a clip. Rotors require removing 4 bolts and replacing them as they are drop bolts. Still easiest brake job I have done on a car and I did for around I think 400 with OEM parts
Just installed stoptech slotted rotors f/r along with hawk hps 5.0, so far so good, quiet linear pedal response, not over boasted like stock, much less dust.
I did the OE sized StopTech setup on my car in July. I really like them. I don't have a lot of time on them, but I'm happy with them so far.
I ran them on my b7 A4 for about 10,000 miles without an issues before totaling it and my fathers b8 s4 has had no issues but his are still fairly new.
Verdict - Preformed great, very pleased!!!!
I am happy with the R32 setup so far ( rotors are freaking heavy); but if I was to upgrade it would be either AP or stoptech trophies....
My power stop rotors lasted about 8 months before warping. Had the bright idea that I could save a few bucks putting them in for a few years before doing the tundra swap.
