173K is nothing for an Odyssey, provided it has had at least minimal maintenance. This means oil changes, transmission fluid changes, timing belt (including water pump) and air filters.

I hope they put a good quality air filter in the car that cleans the cabin air, and I hope it is something that can be hotswapped for the cabin filter that is already in these cars.

I will say - go ahead and get the Honda OEM filter. It is a nice, lightly oiled unit that seems to filter really well.

Swear so many people on here buy an old Honda and their first thought is ricing it with cheap “modifications.” At least catch it up on maintenance and make it look nice and clean first.

The OEM air filters for my 2020 LX are super well made and atleast locally in Canada I havn't found a better option.

I purchased a couple years’ worth from College Hills when I first purchased my 2023 Touring.

I change the one in my Civic about once a year, probably should do it more often though.
