Reviews
Reviews of auto parts are the core content of PartReview and form the PR Score. Reviews may include:
- car make, model, and generation;
- mileage of the part at the time of writing;
- part number (SKU);
- pros and cons;
- ratings of the part’s properties.
Such reviews are considered the most useful. But if the author doesn’t have the time or desire to fill in all these fields, it’s enough to specify the part and manufacturer, write a few words, and give a rating from 0.5 to 5.0 stars.
PartReview Score is the main metric of the site — a value from 0 to 100 that reflects the percentage of positive votes users have given to a part from a specific manufacturer. It is formed based on reviews and voting. The PR Score determines the manufacturer’s position in the part ranking, if they have enough reviews to be included.
Average rating is an additional metric based only on ratings from reviews, without taking voting into account.
Only reviews that pass moderation influence the ratings.
Review Blocking
We strive to detect rating manipulation, whether in favor of or against certain manufacturers. If our algorithms or moderators notice abuse, they may hide suspicious reviews.
We do not disclose the factors that lead to review blocking and do not unblock them upon request. If an error occurs, the review will be restored without user involvement. The text of suspicious reviews is hidden behind a warning, and their votes are not counted in the score. You can report manipulation by clicking the “Report” button under a review.
