I just went R32 LCA and knuckles. Flipped the tie rod and no issues or cutting bending etc..
Volkswagen Beetle parts reviews
The beetle ones have done me right for probably 30k miles. My setup is 3.5 in drop plates on 13"s with no leafs removed, it can still haul 800lbs with 130psi in the rear no problem.
So far I like the EBC pads the best.
Car was misfiring, so I replaced the ignition coil unit (old one was showing cracks). I replaced it with a Beru (OEM) unit. Car went from a sputtering mess to running like a top.
It's a 1835 with 042 heads, balanced crank and 110 cam. I have intakes for dual Webers (no carbs yet) and a 010 for it.
30+ year old Bilsteins...still damp the rebound nicely too.
Bosch and Mann would be the original VW suppliers so you can source them cheaper .
about ten years ago, when my Beetle was my DD, I used nothing but Bosch Super (the cheap copper ones) and never had an issue.
But the battery's been fine. I got a Redtop after the factory battery died, then that Redtop eventually did wear out. So I got an Interstate, and it didn't stay the whole winter before getting shuffled into the Cabby or something that was summer duty/easy to start. I got another Redtop for the bug then and it's been fine.
Nope,VW never ran an external filter of any kind on an aircooled bug, that's a locally sourced aftermarket EMPI product, and it may be contributing to your higher pressure reading.
