If you run it HARD than a 20/50 oil is good. I run castrol non synthetic, but I'm thinking of switching to Royal Purple. Still want to get more opinions before I do the change over but I heard good things about that brand.
i had a bosch 75 amp alternator on my beetle, w/ a huge amp wired up and it was great... never had problems w/ it...
got mine at big-o. they are the e-601 model. not too bad of a tire. good wear rating and good grip.
Many of us Beetle people use the Porsche units for Heavy-duty applications, and they fit.
My oil changes have been all at the dealer, at 15,000KM (about 9300 miles) intervals, Castrol Syntec.
I can tell a HUGE difference in proformance between my K&N and paper air filter. The K&N is a whole lot better. I want it back.
