I did two-piece stoptech rotors on my Viper. The solid rotors on those were 27lbs each wheel. The stoptech rotors are around 17.x lbs each. So I saved 10lbs per wheel, its a huge difference in rotating mass. I improve my MPG, not kidding and feels a lot more agile having lost that weight. The car isnt working as hard to rotate all 4 wheels!!!

Pros: significant weight saving, improved agility, better MPG
Vehicle: Dodge Viper

STOPTECH Brake discs

I used StopTech slotted rotors (not drilled and slotted) and semi-metallic pads on my 2006 Lexus GX470. Obviously I've changed the brake pads a few times but after 200K miles (yes, that many) my rotors are still in excellent shape. I will not buy anything else, ever

Pros: rotors still in shape
Vehicle: Lexus
Mileage: 321869 km

STOPTECH Brake discs

All brake discs are now StopTech Black series one-piece, no detriment to performance vs the ATE stock two-piece, the upside is no going orange on the bells or edges like the stock discs do, pads are still PFC Z-Rated and fluid is ATE Type200, no obvious fade for fast road use.

Pros: no obvious fade
Cons: no detriment to performance
Vehicle: BMW

My car started doing that at around 5000 miles. After a few visits to the dealership, they replaced all four rotors. From 60-0 miles, it would vibrate pretty badly and make humming loud noises. It was good for a few thousand miles, but it started to do it again.

Pros: good for few miles
Cons: vibrate badly, humming noises
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 5000 km

Not only does my '22 SE have the most atrocious grind and squeak all of you know, i have a nasty groove in one of them. I'm going to all new rotors and aftermarket pads when it comes time.

Pros: aftermarket pads planned
Cons: atrocious grind and squeak, nasty groove

Service from VW is what made me stop buying them. My wife's Passat was the last straw. We took it in a couple of months after we got the car complaining of a shake in the brakes through the steering wheel. They said it didn't have one even though I knew the rotors were warped.

Cons: shake in the brakes
Mileage: 7000 km
