With the redline, my car barely burns any oil, and significantly less is directed to my catch can. Night and day difference.

Mobil Engine oil

I will say after switching to mobil1 in one of my rigs it cleaned out a hell of a lot of shitty carbon deposits and crap in the valvetrain. Looked nearly new when I pulled the valve cover at 210 thousand miles.

Pros: cleaned carbon deposits
Vehicle: Chevrolet
Mileage: 210000 km

Shell Engine oil

On an old e36, 5w30 full synthetic no matter the brand would often cause some leaks. Switched to some thicker Rotella oil made for diesels and suddenly no more leaks.

Pros: no more leaks
Cons: caused some leaks
Vehicle: BMW

Mobil Engine oil

I've only used Mobil 1 5w-30 Full synthetic. I think it's the only oil I would ever use. This Mobil 1 oil has simply been the one that I used from the get go, mainly due to recommendations, and it does what it needs to do. I feel confident using the product.

Pros: feel confident using

Castrol Engine oil

Rating 5.0

As far as the castrol goes I bought a used 2018 Kia soul that had a slight knock in the engine for ultra cheap and I was able to make that sound go completely away once I switched to Castrol edge. My vehicle also seamed to burn a lot less oil.

Pros: reduced engine knock
Cons: slight engine knock
Vehicle: Kia Soul
