EBC Brake discs

Did a set of EBC slotted rotors and RedStuff pads on our 7.5 GTI and it's changed how the car brakes entirely. It's got a real consistent bite without bleed off.

Pros: consistent bite
Cons: bleed off
Vehicle: Volkswagen

R1 Concepts Brake discs

I just installed front axle drilled and slotted rotors, and new pads, all from R1 Concepts, and total cost shipped (Amazon) was $56. Tax, delivery, shims, everything but silicone grease.

Pros: low cost, easy install

POWER STOP Brake discs

Powerstops, they upgraded my braking performance at least by 3x, and they look really good too, I got the kit for my car with the drilled/slotted rotors, powder coated red calipers and ceramic heat resistant pads, they were a HUGE upgrade for sure.

Pros: upgraded braking performance

Zimmermann Brake discs

Rating 2.0

Got a new brake set Zimmermann on my S5 and immediately got this look - the anti rust coating around the front rotor edges don’t want to come off. The rear ones are fine and have even wear. 1,5k miles later it’s still digging my eyes.

Pros: rear rotors fine
Cons: coating won't come off, front rotor edges issue
Vehicle: Audi S5
Mileage: 2414 km
