Yeah the W204 C63’s performance is still very relevant to this day. It was able to hang with the CT4V and beat the Golf R. The handling may not be as good as the M3’s but the straight line performance and brakes are awesome.

Pros: straight line performance, awesome brakes
Cons: handling not as good

My mechanic replaces them with OE Mercedes everytime my car needs new brakes. I ask him to use aftermarket and he keeps saying aftermarket pads squeak a lot. And guess what, my OE MB pads squeak like hell when I hit the brakes while reversing lol

Cons: squeak when reversing

Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG. Nothing particularly bad but having a German for it's age, essentially a supercar, and close to 200,000km when I sold it, quite a few bits and pieces needed replacing. Mechanically the best car I ever owned though. Just hoses, sensors, bushes, brake disc's and pads that kind of thing.

Pros: Mechanically the best car
Cons: bits and pieces needed replacing
Mileage: 200000 km

We had an W211 and it was awesome, except of course for the whole brake recall fiasco. Thankfully Mercedes eventually sorted that.

Pros: fiasco sorted
Cons: brake recall fiasco

In prepping the car for sale they spend $10,000 on \"all 100k maintenance items and known chronic problems,\" including brake pads and rotors

Pros: brake pads replaced

I don't like MBs organic brake pads, I went ceramic and have nearly eliminated all brake dust and good stopping power. I do, very much so, love my MB rotors.

Pros: good stopping power, eliminates brake dust
Cons: MB organic pads
