i have the audi twin piston caliper/G60 rotor setup in the front of my 16vT GLI. i think theyre great, i can lock up the brakes at 50mph if i want so braking power is def not an issue.
Volkswagen parts reviews
I am stage2+ and changed out the coilpacks at the same time that I went with NGK. I never did a side by side comparison, but so far i like the NGK's
i havent noticed any drop in performance..runs smoother though like you said, and a little better fuel econ too
I disagree. I live in Alberta where they pile the stones onto the roadways for 6 months of the year(For traction on ice/snow) and I've never had a tougher windshield. Thing has been nailed dozens of times over the past year and have yet to leave a chip/crack. And for the record I've never had a windsheild last longer than 2 months here. (The passat is my 5th vehicle in Alberta) I broke my subaru Windshield the day I bought it! Its ridiculous.....Glass insurance for a year costs more then the windshield
I use Pennzoil Ultra 5W-40 European formula in both of my GTI's and use only oem filters (which are very good btw).
If you look at the other forum post u will notice that Pete alreAdy dynod them and noticed a difference. oh and car runs amazing @ .042
Certainly a lot of opinions about the feature, but the system on my 2000 GTI-GLX is almost perfect and would be hard to be without for most situation. Can't imagine a down side to a system that runs the wipers only when needed, varies the interval to conditions and is always ready and waiting to serve you.
As far as oil filters go, if things haven't changed since I sold my old Jetta, Fram, K&N and possibly others all sell the same filter made by Mann. They are literally identical to the Mann and original VW filters. Buy which ever one you can find for cheap.
New Contitech T-Belt and tensioner
I replaced the "wrong" fuel filter with the fram replacement filter. i finally got the car to start and run at an idle. Runs rough at idle but really chokes out with any throttle at all.
