I just installed a Luk "rep set" clutch kit with a brand new flywheel and it has been excellent so far, Luk was the oem for VW and my original clutch/flywheel/disc/throwout bearing were ALL marked "Luk" on them. I can confidently; recommend Luk if you want to stick with the stock clutch assembly. The original clutch has the quietest and smoothest clutch feeling, original style performance.

Carbotech XP10 Front Pads Only - USED - $45 shipped to U.S. lower 48 -these are proper endurance racing pads (popular in Spec Miata, Spec E30, etc), I wouldn't try to use these on the street -used for 2 track days on my '09 TDI -11.6mm of friction material remaining (approx 85%)
Stock pads have always been like that. My MKIV was like that as well especially in the rear. So I changed them with Mintex pads.
Brakes feel really grabby, brake very well IMO
Just put on four new 18" Conti Extreme Contact DWS tires on it and the ride is smooth and so very quiet.
The general consensus was that 235/40 should fit just fine with no rubbing on stock wheels and suspension. Do keep in mind, PSS tires are a tad wider than stock Pirelli.
The brackets I ordered from usrt bolt up to the boxster red rears.... As to whether rear boxster calipers work or not I've done and uses the calculator several times and it is a 15% increase in brake power..
I reset the timing to 1.0mm left every else as is, and accually got the cold start lever hooked up properly with a spair part from another pump i had laying around
Ok, So today I cleaned all the grounds then checked them with a multimeter, put new plugs in, changed the ignition coil, and still won't start. It has good spark now, and it's definitely getting fuel.
When I first purchased my VW, I could drive it how ever far in whatever temperature and wouldn't get any beeps or blinks. I brought it to a friend to do an oil change and he threw 5W30 in it with a STP oil filter. After that oil change, if the car was driven too long the light would blink and the ding would chime. If you revved to about 2300~ RPM, the noises and blinking would stop. I guess that is a temporary fix, but all I did was change the oil to 10W30 and haven't gotten any noises yet. I guess 5W30 is too thin and can't build up enough oil pressure? I'm not too sure.
