I have Michelin Ice-Xes on my GTI and they do a great job.

We put Conti VikingContact 7 on the Passat last winter. They are fantastic. They've actually scared me more than once when I realized that I just drove thru stuff I should be careful on but never even noticed it.
I have Hakka R2's on my Golf R and they are spectacular. Zero complaints, other than the price. To me they are the Pilot Sport 4S of the winter tire market: if you have unlimited budget you just buy them.
IMO do not put anything OEM on the car as a replacement. Find something with a better pad/rotor combo that doesn't leave deposits Ilike Centric stuff a lot with the Ceramic pads. Good combo
60k on my mk7r, hasn't needed anything but maintenance. Water pumps were a known issue on early mk7 but from my understanding have been resolved in new part revisions with upgraded metal internals.
Just to back up Copbait, I’ve used the Z23s on my vehicles as well. You can feel they reduce the braking distance and almost no dust as well.
With the special Castrol LL VW 50700 Diesel recommended oil and Mann filter, it costs me $35-40 myself. If you are in warranty though, it may be best to dealer service because despite legislation, it is worlds easier if you need warranty work and can prove you had it done at a franchised VW dealer.
Cabin Air Filters aka the Pollen filter they tried to sell you is remedial classes easy to change in most cars. My MK6 JSW was maybe 5 minutes with no tools? Cost was $10ish dollars for a Charcoal filter too.
would suggest plugs, RS7 or Brisk 12's (cheaper) but coil packs are not needed.
I have the R2 on my Golf R and I have to say I regret them. I wish I got the WRG3 that are on my wife's car. The R2 is better on unplowed roads, but sucks on a groomed road.
Also, the steering wheel had a good amount of vibration when applying the brakes. Told the dealer about it, and they came back to me and told me absolutely nothing was wrong and my brakes were perfect.
