1,000 miles ago I replaced my worn Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 (A/S 4) tires in stock 225/40-18 size with another set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 tires in a taller 225/45-18 size. One MAJOR surprise with the new taller tires is a DRAMATIC improvement in ride. The reduction in harshness with the taller tires is shocking to me. Yes, the car is still firm riding - but these taller tires do a fantastic job of taking the edge off all the road imperfections. Even my daugter can feel the difference.

Another vote for EBC red. Have had them on my MK7.5 GTI and Porsche 991 C2S and very happy. Good initial bite and low dust as a bonus. Great for street but would consider Yellow if doing track days.
Koni yellow shocks and struts, neuspeed lowering springs, and GLI front and rear discs w/ECS braided lines... the car rides and drives beautifully now!
I've been very happy with the Blizzaks on my R.
FWIW, I just had spark plugs and coil packs done on my 2016 Jetta, $185 out the door at my local dealership
Replaced the left rear abs sensor myself in like 15 minutes on a 2011 vw, and the part cost like 15 bucks.... Just saying.. So yes absolutely sounds ridiculous, especially considering I'm not even a mechanic
I have these on my car. By far the superior wiper blade on the market, from my experience. Tried silicone blades and was disappointed (noise, streaks). I do remember the connector you need to use was tight, but it did work. These blades are fantastic, but only last 8 months. I think I can live with that.
Skip the dupmtima battery and save the coin. The extra capacity of a larger battery might not make the battery last longer (+5-7 years), heat kills batteries more than a few seconds of starting, and heat doesn't care if you have a small or large battery.
Well, shit. I just put new plugs in two months ago following what EQT recommended then! I didn’t know of these failures with projected tipped plugs. Guess I should have spent a little more and bought non projected at the time, dammit.
About 2 years ago I had 4 Dunlop Conquest Touring tires installed on my 2015 Passat. About 5 months ago, less than 15,000 miles we noticed a groaning sound coming from the passenger side rear. I had all 4 tires rotated and now the noise is coming from the passenger side front. This was more annoying than having the groaning noise come from the rear so we had them rotated back again. The \"dealer\" said it was due to cupping and that's common with Dunlop.
