If anyone is interested I have a set of barely used Michelin X-Ice Snow Tires and aluminum rims 245/45R18. I only used them for 3 months but traded in my Arteon for a Tiguan.
Volkswagen parts reviews
i just switched over to some ngk 91006 last week which smoothed out the idle. haven’t put enough mileage on them to give a solid review but it’s what many recommend and the car felt great at the track this weekend so i’d say they are definitely a solid option.
I went with [Brisk ER12s](https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/vw-spark-plug-brisk-racing-er12s) plugs. They are one of the plugs recommended by EQT and I have been happy with them so far. Cheaper than the NGK/Denso plugs but downside is that they are silver based, so they will wear out faster. I am at 10k miles on them now and starting to feel a little rough idle; time to re-gap or replace them.
I need brakes for the front. I'm a whore for big brakes and have a few OEM options to pick from. I was going to use some 312mm from the Golf 4motion but I dug out a MK4 R32 set in need of a rebuild. They're 334mm with twin piston calipers so should look good behind whatever wheels I pick and also stop good.
I've got a 13 sport with 135k miles on it. Only ever done oil changes, spark plugs, 12v battery and a thermostat. Other than that it’s been stupid reliable.
On these cars Akebono is as good or better than OEM with far less dust.
I have a 2019 golf r and I run liquid moly 5w-40 ever since I got it 2yrs ago and never had a problem..
Just installed them, will have to see how they work out.
Am I right to be upset that I was told the rotors are warped because I went through a puddle with hot brakes? Costing me $1300 to fix!
changed my oil filter that apparently collapsed with a Mann brand and it definitely worked after a month later with no light the darn oil light came back I just redid my filter and oil but it came back getting on the freeway
