I swapped the stock halogens on my 2020 GTI for Osrams. I purchased them straight from a German parts site and they were shipped right to my door here in the US. I love the way the Osrams look

My 21' had coolant in the cylinders and was burning oil pretty good up until 40k when they replaced the head gaskets....then it still was burning coolant and oil and they replaced the head two weeks later. Mines at 75k now and no further issues(knock on wood)
I put a new battery in it. Because it needed one but then I changed the spark blood wires and it now acts like a brand new car, so go to your spark plugs first.
I did several track days last year in my 2016 GTI with EBC blue stuff pads front and back. Really liked them. Stayed good for 20 and 30min sessions. Used fresh motul rbf600 fluid.
I use these on my Jetta, work great. Pads don’t last as long as OEM, but ????♂️
I was dealing with the same variety of codes after swapping out my rack with one from an Audi. I swapped the rack because of a popping sound in the steering wheel. The swap was overall straight forward like you said but I was hitting a wall until I found your write up. I used my obd11 to work through the steps and it worked.
a bit(a lot actually) of internet research got me a denso clone(looks like a hi torq) meant for a kubota tractor.
2 water pumps (both under warranty) 3rd one it's on..so far so good. Those repairs cost me nothing.
Be careful where you buy your plugs. There are counterfeit NGK plugs out there. I found out the hard way. I purchased off of Amazon. Mine melted before I could even get a mile in to my session.
Secondly, defective Rear Disk Brake Pads that wore out on a majority of 22` Taos which was a covered rear Brake replacement if it was under 2ydears and 24 months. I just missed the cut-off and was$700 poorer.
