OEM Toyota Brake pads

 • Braking:
Rating 5.0

Max automotive in surprise is by far the best place I’ve found. Super honest, very fair pricing, will not upsell you or tell you that you need extra things done. The closest I got to that was when I took the car in once it was past due on an oil change which I had planned to do myself but hadn’t had the time to get to. He fixed the issue I came in for (breaks I think) and offered to do the oil change for free, just charged me like 15 bucks for the oil. I have an EV now but if I still had my Toyota truck I’d take it to him in a heartbeat

Pros: honest, fair pricing

Falken Tires

I got my spyder a set of hypergrams a couple years ago...They look great, come in a ton of spyder friendly sizes...Falken azenis rt615k+ are a great performance oriented tire, lots of grip.

Pros: great performance, lots of grip
Cons: Probably overkill

OEM Toyota Strut assembly
bobroberts1954
 • Bounce:
 • Leaks:
Rating 3.0

If there's still bounce when you depress the fender and no handling problems, I wouldn't change the struts. I don't think the valve cover gasket is worth fixing. Someday you will need to work on something on the head, you can replace it then. It won't leak a tablespoon of oil per year, it just spreads a lot.

Pros: no handling problems
Cons: leaks a lot
Vehicle: Toyota RAV 4

EIBACH Shock absorbers

I have eibachs on a second gen Sequoia, I'd say they are softer than the bilsteins yet firm feeling on the road. They don't smooth out a big ol pothole but they dont knock fillings out either.

Pros: softer than bilsteins, firm feeling
Cons: doesn't smooth potholes
Vehicle: Toyota Sequoia

Cooper Tires
DesertBone
 • Grip:
 • Noise:
Rating 1.0

After 2 sets of Falken Wildpeaks I went with these Coopers for my wife’s 4Runner to save a few bucks. Instant regret. Louder and not nearly as good traction in the wet/snow.

Cons: louder, not good traction

Goodyear Tires

I am disappointed with the factory Good Year Wranglers it came with. Tread level on my tires are at 3, Ive been rotating every 5-6k miles, they’re literally bald. Unbelievable.

Pros: rotating every 5-6k miles
Cons: tires literally bald
Vehicle: Toyota
Mileage: 27000 km
