I have a 2023 Civic Si.

I did every oil change at around 8k miles which is when my maintenance minder popped up, even though the dealer recommended every 5k. No issues ever, now at 46k miles.

Pros: no issues ever

Cons: addictive pack broken down, oil gets dirty
Vehicle: Honda City
Mileage: 8500 km

I would recommend a hybrid crv, great gas mileage, reliable, plenty of room in the back as well as cargo. I had a 2022 crv exl before trading it in for an EV, only maintenance I did over 25k miles was oil changes, tire rotations, changed wiper blades and repaired a tire leak. Absolutely loved it but traded it in because charging EV is cheaper and has less maintenance.

Pros: great gas mileage, reliable
Vehicle: Honda
Mileage: 40233 km

I ran 10W-50 and 10W-60 for a few years in an old and beaten up Honda in the hope of reduce oil consumption to avoid having to open the engine. Long story short: it's not harmful, it's an expensive gimmick, the only real-life effect is fuel consumption will slightly worsen and that Honda had occasional issues with VTEC (a well known issue in those engines when running high viscosity oils).

Pros: not harmful
Cons: expensive gimmick, worsen fuel consumption
Vehicle: Honda

I dont know about the newer 1.5t in the crv's, but im getting rid of mine because of the oil dilution issue. Sent out an oil sample and it came back with 8.2% dilution on oil that had 2k miles on it with 0 idle time. All the technical service bulletins have been done and \"nothing\" is wrong with the car.

Cons: oil dilution issue
Vehicle: Honda
Mileage: 3218 km
