The replacement itself isn't hard, I replace my 2019 Mazda 6 and 2019 cx9s it took about 1 hour. The dealership wanted $750 to do it.

In my state I see people driving around with cosmetic mirrors taped to their car all the way to not even having a mirror all together.

I tried to replace the whole mirror on my 2006 S80 but got codes for the alarm system and the key fob would no longer work. It's because there is an antenna built into the mirror which is coded to the key (I suppose). Anyway, I found a good mirror at the salvage yard and disassembled it, figuring out how to not break anything on mine. The transplant was successful and I had zero errors/codes to deal with, nor any wiring issues.

I had the European aspherical mirrors on my mk5.5 Jetta Sportwagen. They perform as advertised, but beware that you will have MORE light in your eyes at night from vehicles in your blind-spot areas.

Mazda has that mirror issue leakage. Apparently it’s only Mazda coming from Mexico, if I knew about that I would bought the ones from Japan. Apart from that , my car is build nicely

We folded in the mirrors on our Kia CEE'D and squeaked through.

I have this bike. It has great fuel economy and very reliable. The only thing is the mirrors crack very easily, even at a dead standstill drop. I still love it though.

Sometimes Mugen does real cool work, I don't think this is one of those times, I feel like I could find something more cohesive & less boyracer on aliexpress, those mirrors are horrendous

The blind spots are massive on the Y compared to the 3. I'm really surprised Tesla didn't do more about this before release. Yes, the camera view when you use the indicators is good, but the mirrors should be better.
