I purchase the 1000ml bottles at my shop for full clutch and brake flushes. It seems like 500ml just isnt enough when the lines are fully dry and you also loose end up losing some in the bleeding process.
Owner reviews for brake fluid
I am currently using Motul RBF600, but I'm giving Pentosin Racing a try this year, since a liter is only $17 -- half the price of RBF600.
I brought it into a VW dealer to have them do some recall work and had them check that out at the same time. They said it was because I was low on brake fluid and when I took a turn the fluid in the tank up front got below a certain point and set off the sensor.
brakes/clutch- ATE super blue
Now you can fill your power bleeder with the remainder of whatever fluid you have choosen. 10. Fill the resevoir with whatever your choice of fluid is, my friend's choice was ATE SUPER BLUE.
I ordered a bottle of AP Racing brake fluid and some new front pads. I'm going to flush my whole system and hopefully it fixes my issue.
this might also be due to either a faulty rotor (which i had problems with), air in the brake lines, a pinhole leak in one of the rubber brake lines, cooked fluid, it could be any number of things!
put in some good fluid, motul is awesome stuff but valvoline makes a descent brake fluid too.
Plugs changed, brake fluid flush, air conditioning filter, air filter, diagnostics, brake check, all belts checked (includes timing belt), lube/oil/filter, power-steering check, front suspension check, axles checked. Exhaust, transmission, oil leaks checked.
Valvoline makes a good brake fluid, it seems to hold up better than the castrol gt lma, the castrol gets dark in about a year, while the synthetic valvolne stuff stays clean longer.
