when I bought my car in 2020 with \~27,000 miles on it, I replaced the cabin air filter, wiper blades, and all 4 tires immediately upon purchase because they all needed it.

2000 Silv 2500 230k miles. Owned since new. Used for hard desert & mountain towing, trips down Baja etc. Went into shop for first time ever for a cracked radiator.
Owning an EV is super easy...if you have a convenient way of charging it. I have a charger installed in my garage. It's like a cell phone; I plug in when the battery is low.
My experience is briefer: 3 years with a Bolt EUV. I bring it in for tire rotations and maintenance wise that’s pretty much it.
The bolt (possibly the cheapest used EV available) batteries last well into the 200,000mi lifespan. My insurance lowered $80 when I bought my first EV. My state started charging an extra $150 to register an EV in 2019. About the same as the average ICE owner would pay in gas tax.
I drove a first gen Chevy Volt before I bought my 2022 MYP. I actually loved the Volt but it didn't have much range. The Chevy Volt had about 37 miles of range and my round trip to work and back was 34 miles. I drove that car on all electric 95% of the time.
This is neat, but ultimately, its kind of a functional sculpture. Like all of the ultra-hyper cars, it's so high strung that it needs a team to just pull out of the garage without causing an accident, and the manufactures full and constant support is needed to keep it running. It has fully custom tires that are only single source, and they're only going to build a handful of them so they can say its production.
I have a 2015 Chevy Tahoe with 130000 miles. I'm 73 years old with a fixed income, so I thought it would be a good idea to invest in Endurance. I got an engine light and my car was shifting poorly. At a stop light when I tried to accelerate it sat for a second then lunged forward nearly hitting a car in front of me. I was near a Chevy dealership, so I pulled in and left it with the Endurance information. The dealership called and said Endurance denied my service, due to the cause of the problem being a faulty gasket at the fuel pump allowing gasoline to enter the manifold. They don't cover gaskets or seals or problems that arise from those. It cost me $1900, and Endurance covered nothing. Don't waste your time or money.
My 2025 RS AWD has been having squealing brakes since 1,000 miles at low speed. It has 3,500 on it now and it's annoying.
My breaks were squeaking with less than 5000 miles. Bad and embarrassing squeaking.
