OEM Chevrolet Horn
DrRazmataz
  • Loudness:
Rating 5.0

people have suggested nabbing a stock horn from a mid 2000's Chevy Trailblazer or one of its contemporaries, as it's incredibly loud, and small enough to be wired to a bike. And cheap!

Pros: incredibly loud, small, cheap
Vehicle: Chevrolet TrailBlazer

OEM Chevrolet Battery

It wouldn't be a bad idea. But also you never know. My old car's battery lasted 8 years before I finally had to replace it. Sometimes things just chug along for a long time

Pros: battery lasted 8 years
Vehicle: Chevrolet

OEM Chevrolet Heater core
Altruistic-Cut9795
  • Cabin heat:
  • Fogged windows:
Rating 3.0

The heater core was leaking under the dashboard. I had a 1995 Chevy S10 and the heater core was leaking. I bipassed it for awhile but it sucked driving in cold winter weather and the defroster couldn't work without it and felt like I was in a freezer driving to work. Chevrolet dealer wanted $1,000 to replace it. I ended up doing it myself and it was a son of a bitch. I remember the hardest part was getting the speedo cable detached doing it blind. I also had to drop the steering column to get the dashboard out. The brackets under the dashboard was razor sharp, I got cut several times. When all was said and done I think I had 3 screws left over ,but everything worked . It took me around 6 hours to do it.

Pros: worked after repair
Cons: difficult repair, sharp brackets, many screws left
Vehicle: Chevrolet

OEM Chevrolet Headlights

I'm a paramedic and we drive the chevy Demers ambulances. The headlights are extremely poor and unsafe to the point where i think demers/chevy is becoming legally negligent. Driving out to a suburban/outskirt town for a nightshift in my new car and then hopping into an ambulance to do a transfer back to the city and im like leaning over the steering wheel squinting to see the road at dusk, its such a stark contrast in headlight performance and throw.

Cons: extremely poor, unsafe
Vehicle: Chevrolet
