I then bought one that was made of aluminum and had a metal impeller (Dorman brand I believe) I never had an issue with it after that.

Continental 175/70 r13 tires imported from Italy in July 2020 (at substantial expense \ud83e\udd23) to wrap this set of 82 Jetta wheels for my resto-mod. Finally got them painted to my satisfaction in reflex silver. Searched all of US and Canada for Continental 175/70s with no luck.
Had an 85' Jetta GLI: installed lowering springs (1/5" front, 1" rear, 40% stiffer? Hor brand? Pretty sure I picked them up from Autotech) and used HD standard struts (coilovers were not available and pretty sure I used Sach's struts).
I ended up using it to change the oil, change the plugs, and change the oil filters and ignition coil. I recommend it.
Owner's Manual recommends 5W40; but says that any oil that meets the VW 502.00 specification is fine. I've used that Mobil1 European Car Formula 0W40 since our two 2009 Mk5's (Jetta and GLI) were new, with no problems. Specifically zero oil use between changes.
My 2017 Jetta SEL with LFER7BHX 9512 plugs starts/runs fine at 50076 miles, 0-100 degrees F.
I have the Michelins AS3's on my 18 Jetta SEL and of course I'm down south, but they are like chewing gum, very sticky...I'm impressed so far...
My 2007 MKV 2.5 Jetta is still having overheat problems even after changing the tstat to a OEM (Wahler) and the waterpump to one with metal impeller, which works way better than the original.
Our rear rotors are garbage. The front seem fine but i can see rust marks for where my pads rest when i park it for the weekend. Im researching our incredibly limited options on rear rotors at the moment.
Back in November 2019 / ~7,500 miles ago, I installed the Power Stop Z23 Evolution Geomet Coated Rotor and Pad Kit. Well, now the rotors are warped and I need replacement rotors.
