RAVENOL Engine flush
2226cc
  • Idle smoothness:
  • Drain appearance:
Rating 5.0

I started doing this routinely with every oil change. Only have a tiny 1.2tsi VW though, but the difference afterwards is noticeable. Especially in terms of rate of oil consumption. These tend to clog their rings it seems.

Pros: noticeable difference afterwards
Cons: rings tend to clog
Vehicle: Volkswagen

LIQUI MOLY Engine oil

At around 4000km I did a break in oil change and switched over to liquimoly and noticed my oil regularly stays at 90-95C and only goes to 104 if driven hard.

Pros: lower oil temperature
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 4000 km

Continental Tires
Jmitchelltfo
  • Grip:
  • Ride comfort:
Rating 5.0

For stock suspension and even lowered 15mm on coilovers, I have really enjoyed my DWS06+ 235/45/18’s. They ride great, handle better than any all season tire I’ve ever run, and have smashed some serious potholes on the rare occasion that I can’t avoid them.

Pros: ride great, handle better
Vehicle: Volkswagen

OEM Volkswagen Tires
Jadar
  • Ride comfort:
Rating 3.0

Mine came with 19” Montevideo which have been turned into dedicated winter setup, I upgraded to 20’s. The ride isn’t horrible tbh but it is worse, but you will for ever have that feeling of butthole pucker up lol every time you slightly even see a pothole.

Pros: 20's look better
Cons: ride isn't horrible
Vehicle: Volkswagen

  • Acceleration:
Rating 1.0

On my stage 2 mk7 I swapped around and tried a few like ngk and the ngk failed causing misfires like crazy on acceleration. Back to OEM and never had another issue for 45k miles.

Pros: OEM plugs reliable
Cons: NGK caused misfires
Mileage: 72420 km
