Bilstein Shock absorbers
veedubtuner
  • Bottoming:
Rating 4.0

So I went with Bilstein w/ H&R Sports. Also keeps with the H&R theme as the car came with an H&R RSB \ud83d\ude01. Suspension is finished now, also added Megan Racing Adjustable rear control arms, and it rides great now.

Pros: rides great

Hella Speed sensor
Leirk
  • Warning light:
Rating 5.0

I’ve used Hella brand on my 2016 Jetta on two occasions for the rear sensors. Lights went off both times. They were less than $20 apiece when I bought them.

Pros: lights went off, reliable
Vehicle: Volkswagen Jetta

MICHELIN Tires

I chose to go with the Michelin Cross Climate 2s, which are all seasons with the M+S and the snowflake. I drive a VW Atlas SUV and so far these tires have been very impressive in the snow.

Pros: very impressive in snow
Vehicle: Volkswagen

MICHELIN Tires
alandesco
  • Ride comfort:
Rating 4.0

Only change I have made is putting on Michelin Pilot 4 all weather tires 235/40/19s on the stock wheels. A little more sidewall for a better ride and no problem with rubbing. My only gripe is the turbo lag but once it kicks in it does just fine.

Pros: better ride, no rubbing
Cons: turbo lag

rainx Washer fluid
brianbgw
  • Cleaning power:
  • Streak free:
Rating 1.0

Stop using the Rain-X fluid. It leaves a film/build up on the inside of the reservoir and on the level sensor. You’ll need to pull the sensor and clean it, after that only use the good old blue stuff and you’ll never have the issue again. This happened to me on my 2018 Tiguan and my 2007 Jetta. Rain-X changed the formula for the orange stuff a few years back and that’s when people started having this problem.

Pros: prevents future issues
Cons: leaves film/build up
Vehicle: Volkswagen Tiguan

OEM Volkswagen Windshield

Full replacement in October and 3 star chips filled this month. The replacement was a nightmare, they ordered OEM, but didn't realize there are different windshields for different trim levels until they'd installed it and couldn't connect the rearview mirror. Can't say its a defect since it was a decent sized gravel each time while driving 75.

Cons: installation nightmare, trim level incompatibility
Vehicle: Volkswagen
