I use Mobil 1 synthetic 0w20 with Mobil1 M1-209 screw-on filter for the 2012. I've been doing this for these cars since they were new. We don't put too many miles/year on these cars and so I change the oil every fall and every spring. Never had a problem.
Back in March I got fed up with the B5 platform shenanigans and started shopping for a Subaru... Upon entering the Mazda dealer, I got the typical \"We don't have the exact one you want in manual, but we do have this...\" and I decided to humor the salesman. Singer alternators is the only place that I could find. It's expensive $429 including shipping and lifetime parts and labor. Great deal with that. He makes a 200A.

I had a pair of Rain X blades, and they streaked a lot. Returned them for the Icons, never looked back.
Cabin air filter, first gen Mazda 3. Getting to the filter is a pain.
I have the same tires on the Mazda3 and their wet performance is sh*t IMO.
