NGK Spark plug

Rating 4.0

Factory plugs were causing the auto transmision to take longer to shift and jerk more suprisingly. I assume because the engine was acting differently than the transmission expected.

Pros: easy to do, cheap
Cons: expedited wear
Vehicle: Mazda 3
Mileage: 60000 km

NGK Spark plug

You don't need a torque wrench, NGK plugs have a crush washer and specify half turn past initial contact. Did my Mazda 3 with no issues. I have a torque wrench and didn't use it.

Pros: NGK plugs have crush washer
Cons: don't need torque wrench

NGK Spark plug

NGK Lazer Iridium Plugs is what I got to replace them in my car. I believe those are what Mazda OEM plugs are, but it’s just cheaper to buy the NGKs from a part store.

Pros: cheaper than OEM, OEM quality

OEM Mazda Spark plug

I bought a 19’ Premium at 17 it’s a great little car beat the shit out of it for 4 years straight and it runs amazing still. Handles well in the winter as long as you have clearance it’ll get you there in one piece. Regular maintenance along with trans fluid change, spark plugs, brakes, diff fluid change. I’d recommend a cpo premium . Great value.

Pros: runs amazing, handles well

Bosch Spark plug

If it is the skyactive-x be aware that the owners manual advises spark plug replacement at 40k miles and the Mazda plugs are \u00a340 each. I put aftermarket Bosch plugs in and it ran very lumpy and had to replace with Mazda ones.

Cons: ran very lumpy
Vehicle: Mazda 3

Please use original plugs for the replacements. Just yanked out aftermarket NGK platinums because of a misfire. For some reason, Mazda and aftermarket plugs in my experience always resulted in a misfire.

Cons: misfire
