Advics Brake discs

i just did this replacement not too long ago on the front same year same mileage lol. my advice - buy the OEM Advics rotors off of lexus or rock auto. factory pads - replace the shim kits too. i bought centrics premium rotors but i probably should have gone with advics - the casting is definitely cleaner.

Pros: OEM Advics rotors, clean casting
Cons: Centrics rotors, poor casting
Vehicle: Lexus IS
Mileage: 96000 km

Rating 4.5

COO was Japan on the Denso I ordered from RA. Likely the same exact thing as OE Lexus, with a different sticker.

Pros: same as OE Lexus

Rating 4.0

Since you have a decent driveline the only modifcations I would do would be poly bushings for front and rear subframes

Pros: better time in corners

I have Pilkington on my last 2 vehicles. I haven't had any issues with the quality of glass, waves, or rainbowing.

Pros: good quality glass, no waves or rainbowing

Akebono Brake pads

Get the best ones out there which is OEM they gave my 15es250 the best miles before replacement which is 125k

You are saving some $$ doing a DIY job...so spend an extra bucks and get the OEM parts or better which would be akebono proact(brake pads around 100$) and advics high carbon rotors(220$) which again is the oem rotors your lexus had.

Pros: long lasting, good quality
Vehicle: Lexus ES
Mileage: 125000 km

Brembo Brake discs

Option 3 is best. I have doubts on the corrosion resistance of Brembo’s UV coating. Just FYI, cheap “drilled and slotted” rotors are the opposite of high performance. It’s only a matter of time before the holes result in cracking.

Pros: option 3 is best
Cons: corrosion resistance, cracking
Vehicle: Lexus

Pirelli Tires

I'm getting tired of the tires on my GS. They're far from worn (10k miles, P7 A/S 3 Plus, pretty much still full tread), but are terrible in the rain. Up until recently, it was a sort of fun kind of terrible (easy oversteer, 4 wheel drifts, etc.), but yesterday was sketchy understeer at way too low of a speed. I didn't like that. I imagine emergency braking is equally awful. I don't want to find out.

Pros: good tread life
Cons: terrible in rain, sketchy understeer
Vehicle: Lexus GS
Mileage: 10000 km
