Nokia Tires

If anyone needs quiet winter tires, I just got a set of Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5s, and they’re as quiet as my summer Michelin Pilot Sports. They’re astounding, especially compared with the R3s I used to have.

Pros: quiet, astounding performance
Cons: compared with R3s
Vehicle: Lexus IS

Akebono Brake pads

Rating 2.0

I used the akebono asp and pro act on my lexus. They were pretty crap for the application. They lacked any bite and you had to really push to get any decent braking. But thats probably ceramic pads in general. They were very low dust through and quiet. Switched to a forza street performance pad and night and day difference and the pad was still low dust, low wear and virtually silent. Just hard to get them.

Pros: low dust, quiet, low wear
Cons: lacked bite, poor braking
Vehicle: Lexus

Rating 1.0

I bought a Yuasa battery from AutoPro, and they told me it comes with a 2-year warranty. After about one and a half years, the battery almost completely died. I had it tested and was told it was dead and needed replacement.

Pros: 2-year warranty
Cons: battery almost completely died
Vehicle: Lexus LS
