Motorcraft Oil filter

I've used the spec Motorcraft filter (820S), and Motorcraft 5w20 synthetic oil EVERY TIME. This truck has been an absolute beast, and dead nuts reliable.

Pros: dead nuts reliable
Vehicle: Ford
Part number: 820S

Hankook Tires

I ended up deciding on Hankook R-S4's. Seem like a very good, though not quite RE71r level, dry autocross tire, better in wet than dedicated dry tires, able to take the heat of a track day, livable as a daily, and supposedly wear like rocks, so I'm assuming they end up being cheaper in the long run than the federal rs-pro's, or most any other 200tw tire.

Pros: good dry autocross tire
Cons: not RE71r level
Vehicle: Ford Fiesta

OEM FORD Brake pads
Iroczgirl
  • Braking:
Rating 4.0

The oldest I've used as a daily is my '55 Ford. Could stand to get some brakes on it, but otherwise it was fine.

Pros: fine, used daily
Cons: needs brakes
Vehicle: Ford

STOPTECH Brake discs

I just (like Friday) got slotted StopTechs for the front. I got Hawk pads and can confirm they stop the Fiesta in a timely manner. Outside of the silly blow-off valve, the only modifications I have done have been StopTech rotors front and rear.

Pros: timely stopping
Vehicle: Ford Fiesta

Rating 3.5

I'm running the OEM Hankook Optimo 426s on my Fiesta, and they're just about to the wear bars at 53K. They wore pretty well, I guess, decent traction and noise control, not a bad tire overall.

Pros: decent traction, noise control
Cons: not a bad tire overall
Vehicle: Ford Fiesta
Mileage: 85295 km

OEM FORD Camshaft
SoTxBill
  • Pull across revs:
Rating 2.0

Had one... that 2.3 was bad about the cam getting flat lobes on the rear of cam... due to the tilt of the engine, and the oil feed from the front.... as the oil cooled down, the sludge would wax out and settle in the rear of the oil galley, therefore cutting off oil to the rear lobes and followers.

Cons: cam getting flat lobes
Vehicle: Ford Courier

NITTO Tires

They slip like crazy in my g in the rain. NT05s in 285 width. Good dry performance. Scares me a little on raining freeway rides.
