Fresh suspension, Koni shocks and H&R Springs. New front and rear shock mounts

And the throttle response is super smooth, and great brakes.
Mine's a 330i auto, but the three best mods I've done is:
1. Suspension: B8 Bilsteins, Eibach Pro-kit springs & sway bars, Z4M FCA offset bushes, CMP Auto E46/Z4 Suspension Bundle (solid subframe bushes, monoball RTA bushes, adj. camber arms).
I overbuilt my car. If I did it again, I’d start with clipz front hubs, 325x26 e46m3 rotors, e38 brembos.
E36 non M3 brakes up front is probably your easiest and cheapest way to go, dirt cheap and readily available everywhere, the 286mm rotors and calipers leave just enough room for 15inch wheels and they are provide plenty of power and heat disappation for a street E30.
I've had my 6mt G80 M3 for 3 years now and still love it. Yes, the manual in a Cayman or Blackwing is better, but it is still a good transmission and better than the older BMW manuals I've had.
The only issue we’ve had with it is recently a bunch of warning lights started popping up randomly but all at the same time. I assumed it was a wiring issue or something since none of the systems it said were disabled actually were. Dealership couldnt replicate it so it took a couple weeks of bringing it back and forth every time it happened before they were able to see anything on their end. Replaced the battery and it’s been fine since.
In my case, the oil consumption was also high—I had to refill it constantly, though BMW claims that’s 'totally normal.'
Thanks for this very interesting and informative post! I wish I had found something similar before purchasing my F07 (which, at 300k kms, is costing a lot to maintain) and my F30 (in which the timing chain let go and caused engine rebuild).
330i, coolant repairs.
