You won’t regret switching to the Michelin CrossClimate 2s. I’ve been running them year-round on my 2020 G01. I live in Montreal, and this is my third winter with these tires. I’ve never had any issues and even drove to Florida twice during the holiday season. Ride quality is awesome and the traction is great, even in deep snow.
BMW X3 parts reviews
I have almost 45k miles on my Michelin CC2 tires that I installed in late 2023. We run them year round (PNW) and they’re great for everything. I rotate them every 5k and anticipate another 10k-15k miles before I have to replace them. I have the same year, model, and trim X3 (purchased brand new in June 2022).
BMW run-flats are fine in summer but get sketchy fast once the snow hits, so switching to regular tires like the CrossClimate 2s is a huge upgrade in ride comfort and winter grip. It made my X3 feel like a totally different car
I have Pirelli Cinturato P7 A/S run-flats on my '21 X3 xDrive (same size) and had them on E90 as well for past several years. They do quite well in E WA winters, quiet and smooth.
160k miles on mine. Most reliable car I’ve owned. Just do your regular maintenance like plugs, coils, filter, oil, other fluids and they’re rock solid!
I’m running 110k miles in my M40 X3. There was a coolant issue but other than that it’s been an excellent engine.
Textar makes good pads but they get brake dust everywhere. They are currently the stock ones on my 23 m40i.
My new BMW X3 was reliable.
It reliably would NOT start whenever the temperature dropped below -20C, even with a battery tender on it. The dealer couldn’t find anything wrong with it.
Any BMW. You have to take the side fender and various front engine apart just to replace a headlight! Dealer says they'll replace both for $2000.
I changed the micro filter, cabin filter, etc.. The smell seems to be strongest with heat set to 78 and when I am slowing down or coming to a stop and the auto engine shut off turns on and off.
