I got Michelin Defender 225/65R16 and they are great tires. Got them at discount tire and they are not cheap, but worth it IMO
I would choose Michelin AS4s over the Contis if they're available and in your price range. They offer better MPG and ride comfort over the Contis while delivering more grip in the wet and dry. Just an all around better tire, but the Conti is still great albeit a little heavier than Michelin.
I replaced the stock ones on my 21 (@ 35k) with Michelin CC2’s a few weeks ago. My fuel mileage went down by a few MPG but the ride is much smoother and quieter. And I tested them out in the snow and ice today. Well worth the extra money!
Just installed these on my MYP, and I freaking love them. I got 43k on the Michelins, granted I probably went 5k over.
Just drove through a storm and just had Michilen cross climate 2's put on. Both worked amazing.
I've had Michelin PS4S on mine for a bit and love em. Great handling, ride quality, tread life, and reasonably priced for how long they last.
Michelin tire give you the way much better grip on rain and normal condition.
Stickiest, grippiest tires. Loved them on my 2020 Ti Sport. Great in the snow.
Those tires are shot. Michelins have a habit of dry rotting early. They’re decent tires, but I’ve seen them rot like that all too often.
I worked in tire shops for many years and installed many sets of BFG all terrain K02. I used to cringe when I saw these tires on the work order. They are very heavy tires to handle and that weight doesn't help with mounting and balancing. Every time I installed a set of these, there would always be 1 or 2 tires that would ask for an obscene amount of weight when trying to balance. Sometimes as much as 10 ounces on a perfect rim. We would try to promatch them but sometimes they would still want 5-6 ounces. Sometimes we would peel the tire off and try another one from stock if we had more. If we had no other stock, we would slap the weight to it and hope the customer didn't come back with a vibration. Also, everyone I've ever talked to who had these said they turn hard as a rock when they are cold and are terrible on ice.
