Love my Bilstiens, was night and day vs the factory style shocks even though they were only 3yrs old. Biggest difference is on gravel roads especially with a heavy load.

Love my Bilstein 5100s with my 4.5 inch lift. They have been on it for 5 years now and still do the job in ten sand dunes. No shock fade. Yes on road they are abrupt compared to your parts store junk like Monroe.

Pros: no shock fade

Cons: abrupt on road

The Golf R springs with Bilstein B6 dampers did moderately lower the wagon's body roll and, paradoxically, not really negatively affect ride quality from what I can tell.

Pros: lower body roll

Cons: turn in isn't as sharp

Vehicle: Volkswagen Golf

I run Bilstein B4s in my project Rabbit. The car rides and handles great now. I drove it to work not long after getting it back together, and it was a very smooth, quiet ride.

Pros: smooth, quiet ride

Vehicle: Volkswagen
